This is a wonderful blend of anise notes that closely resembles the original "Green" liqueur of Paris long ago. It has hints of Anise along with other natural flavors.

    Perfectly Reflects Absinthe

When I was in New Orleans we visited the Old Black Absinthe shop and enjoyed Absinthe. It tastes like black licorice because Absinthe TASTES like black licorice!

    Absinthe (TFA)

Posted by Nate of the Living Dead on 17th Aug 2019

Mixed at 5%, along with 2.7% each of WS-23 and Polar Blast. I do love black licorice, so I may be biased, but I think it's delicious... for black licorice, not absinthe. Although it does smell faintly herbal in concentrate form, I can't detect any of those components when I'm using it. I plan on using this as a base for my own absinthe flavor, adding in the herbal components myself. Not disappointed with the flavor, though, and I'm sure I'll be ordering it again.

    If you like Absinthe

Has a nice licorice taste just like Absinthe but it's milder than straight licorice. Very good flavor but a little weak.

    Not bad

This flavor definitely tastes like licorice. Not really my thing but use it sparingly as it's quite strong. I would start at 0.5 - 1.0% and adjust to taste

    Great tasting

Very smooth, almost like black licorice only milder. Not over powering at all and enjoyable.

    Licorice Cool

Posted by JoanJ on 2nd Oct 2014

Something I never thought I would like but was really wrong on this one. It is licorice but has a refreshing cool to it also. Very pleasant and not overly strong like licorice flavoring.
