Let's Make It: Strawberry Hard Candy

A simple, sweet classic you can make at home. This strawberry-flavored hard candy is perfect for gifting, party favors, or just to keep around for a quick treat.

Ingredients:

• 2 cups sugar

• 2/3 cup corn syrup

• 3/4 cup water

• 1 tsp strawberry flavoring

• Red food coloring (optional)

Instructions:

1. Boil sugar, corn syrup, and water in a saucepan until fully dissolved.

2. Continue heating until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).

3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly to 275°F.

4. Stir in strawberry flavoring and food coloring.

5. Pour into molds or onto a greased surface.

6. Let cool completely.

7. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
