I know from the smell of a concentrate if its gonna be good. My smell tells me to use this with fa pear at a 3 to 1 ratio.. ex) 3% fa pear, 1% fw pear

    Good Pear

Flavor West makes a pretty good pear flavor, and I use it all the time. I have been using it for about 3 years now, and I go through the 4oz bottles fairly quickly. One word of caution though, this pear has a sight bite to it. My secret to getting rid of this bite is to add a small amount of INW Pear to it, this will soften the flavor, and take the bite out, and also leave it tasting a bit more sweet & juicy. I've tried them both alone & with many combinations, and I've discovered they taste much better together than alone. The FW Pear is more like a green pear, and the INW is more like a juicy golden pear flavor. But the INW Pear can get cloying really fast, so best just to use a little of it sparingly to sweeten/ripen the FW Pear. For example, depending on whom I'm making this for (and how strong they like it), I might use 10-18% FW Pear with 1-2% INW Pear in a 50/50 solution, or 75PG/25VG solution. And I always get so many compliments about how it smells and tastes like a real fresh juicy pear! BTW, I also compared this to TPA/TFA, and there is no comparison, the TFA smells a bit floral, and it's hard to soften out that note. I've tried others too, since I am a pear fan, but the best I've found so far has been the combination of FW Pear & INW Pear used together. One more little tip, if you happen to have any FA Forrest Fruit, then adding a few drops of this also seems to "ripen" this flavor quite nicely!
