    Little Debbie’s Disappointed

Posted by Michael Russell on 26th Jul 2023

I want to begin this review by saying that everything about flavoring is extremely subjective, so this is just my opinion. Now… I have been DIYing for nearly 12 years now and have several DIY competition wins under my belt in that time, so I’m doing something right I suppose. Before buying this flavor, I read the above reviews. I thought to myself: oat flavors are a difficult find anyway, and good ones are even more difficult to find, so I went with it. Received my shipment and mixed it up. Let us pause here for some legal disclaimers. First: I realize that there are people with enhanced tasting abilities. You know? Like as they finish their popsicle and tell you about the pine tree in Coos Bay, Oregon, that was jammed in the sawmill on a Tuesday afternoon in March, that became the popsicle stick in their mouth? The kind of person that can taste the sound of the future. Personally, I’m not that guy. Second: I’m an old, chubby, retired country boy. I have eaten my share of oatmeal cream pies. (No really…) So, I have a pretty good idea what this “should” taste like. Finally: I mixed several standalone testers, between 2-6% with this flavor. There is virtually nothing there. My wife is one of the above mentioned “clairvoyant tasters”. I swear she can taste it when someone turns a light on at the neighbor’s house! She got hardly any flavor. And what flavor we did get, had nearly nothing to do with an oatmeal cream pie. Now the flavor is not worthless. It has an intriguing mouthfeel that can add value to other recipes as an enhancer. But to the folks in the above reviews; click the edit button on your review, grab a couple of oatmeal cream pies, bite, chew, savor, think, and prepare to reevaluate your previous description of this flavor. Oh, and I’m not talking about these “sustainability sourced, green, vegan, recycled, environmentally friendly, Keto, politically correct” oatmeal cream pies you found at a hipster’s boutique organic, non-GMO, gluten and lactose free bakery either. I mean a good ole fashioned, calorie laden, heart disease causing, artery clogging, high fructose corn syrup having, mass produced oatmeal cream pie. Little Debbie is watching… and she’s disappointed…

Maybe the BEST Oatmeal I've had yet

Posted by Dman on 11th Jan 2020

**Oats and Cream Cookie (SC) (WF) 3.5% (8-27-19)** -- Choo Choo, the Oat Train is leaving the station !!! Alright, I know, what the hell.... This is a GREAT flavor @ 3.5%. It may be one of the CLOSEST Oat flavors I have tried, and I've had some bad ones. It's not 100%, but man is it up there, close, and great, even as a solo. I have NO clue how in the hell you would try to sim oats, but WF has it pretty close. To cut to the chase, it is oaty, and creamy. Done. It is a very full creamy mix @ this % with enough sweeteness to not be overbearing. To be honest, having such BAD luck with any/all oats up until this one, beyond the obvious like Brown Sugar, I'm not sure what you would pair to boost this, but as it stands you might not have to. Nothing off-putting, just a very somewhat sweet, creamy oaty mix. I find it hard to really explain oatmeal in general, so we'll cut it short, and give this one **9.5/10**.

    Best you're gonna get

Almost a spot on oatmeal cookie but there's no raisins and you have to add a little dryness to counter-act the cream.
