Apparently, a Nanaimo Bar is some sort of Canadian candy bar. Maybe someday I'll head north and try one. Meanwhile, this flavoring is amazing! It's great as a stand-alone, or can also be used in other candy/bakery recipes to enhance the chocolate or add a "creamy" texture. It's sweet, creamy and while you'll definitely taste the chocolate, it isn't bitter, dark or overly assertive. I bought a small bottle to test, and just reordered a much bigger bottle. This is one of my new favorites.
