A mild cooling effect (much milder than menthol) with a bittersweet herbal flavor that I think is the main ingredient in Ricola cough drops. Delightful!

I've always been partial to fruit/candy kinda mixtures. My first attempt at a dessert recipe included a first time use of Horehound based only upon the few reviews before this one. Looking back upon my recipe I'm not sure what kind of dessert concept I had in mind? It includes White Cake, various light cream ingredients along with a couple pineapples as well as a touch of Mint and Horehound. (I remain as confused as you are). H.h. at 1.5% of a seven flavor 19% total mix. I knew there was no middle ground between catastrophe or masterpiece. Upon initial test straight from the kitchen, all I can say is I remained confused. Horehound was powerfully present for sure. FIVE STARS! Horehound is very subtle at start. It then blends and becomes more and more present until it becomes a very unique and pleasant finale. "Mint, herbal, licorice." All appropriate terms, but far from complete definition of Horehound. It is in a class all its own. I'm still unsure where when or how to use this flavor. It MUST steep and I'm anxious to continue my experiments. Good luck to all.

This lends a refreshingly herbal note to menthol mixes, especially, giving them a little extra "something". Bull City ships fast at a great price, too!

Really like this one. It is herbal, refreshing and works as a stand alone or in a mix. I have already bought more.

This is a minty herbal flavor; not mint, not menthol but more like a cool refreshing mint-like herb with slight licorice notes. I use it to liven dull vapes, much like koolada, but with a taste.
