    TPA Frosted

Sweet grainy frosting. .40-2% for frosting/sweetener. No real bakery. If you’re looking for an actual donut flavor, this isn’t it. The frosting isn’t bad though, or use as a sweetener.

    Supporting Donut Flavor

Posted by Amber on 29th Jan 2017

I love the versatility of Frosted Donut, of course I always call it powdered Donut for some reason, maybe it just tastes that way to me. I get a slight Frosted, but more white powdered with cinnamon type flavor. Done correctly, this is an awesome concentrate. To start a Donut base, try 2% Zeppola and 1-2% Frosted Donut, and maybe a little Vanilla Cup cake in a small percentage. It is a great supporting Donut, although it lacks the doughy/yeasty component to be main flavor.

    Mixed Feelings

I use this flavor in several different recipes but known as a "donut" flavor. I've tried by adding several different flavors to it (cake(yellow), cake batter, biscuit) but can't seem to get the donut flavor with this being the main ingredient. Next going order glazed donut-cap and pair it with it and try. It is a good flavor just wouldn't call it a donut IMO. Bull City great as always fast shipping and great customer service.

When you use this flavoring at 6% you get that sugary glaze taste but no donut flavor. Maybe if you use a Danish flavor you may get a more donut flavor with it.

    A Base hit

Frosted Donut, not a bad one to have in your flavor cabinet. The flavor of frosting really comes through in this one. The donut flavor isn't what comes through, up front., , even at 5-8% . But, if you add just a little cinnamon danish, cinnamon roll etc, at around 1-2% it comes out nicely. I add a little of this to a coupl other desert juices. It adds a sweet flavor and gives a kick to other flavors like Pandoro. I recommend TFA Frosted Donut to every desert flavor collection.
