Marvelous flavor - belongs in the laboratory of every sophisticated mixer.

Posted by Cait on 6th Jul 2017

I make my base 1 drop flavor for each mililleter VG - adding a drop or two of ethyl malto or super sweet for every 15 ml of VG &/or PG . If too strong, add VG/PG. If too weak, add a few more drops of favoring. I almost always mix this Licorice concoction 1 part to 3 parts Black Touch (using same method to get BT base). For texture, I sometimes mix in a bit of sweet cream or barvarian cream, &tc. Delicious!

I was looking for a good standalone black licorice and I found it. Nice strong flavor like jelly beans.

    Black Jelly Beans

Posted by Big Kev on 24th Jan 2017

I use it at 3-4% in 50/50. It's good right away but is best after a few days. Black jelly bean fans should give this a try.

    authentic rabbit turds

Posted by DanB on 23rd Jan 2017

This is my first licorice flavor . It will be the only one I use. So far have mixed at 4% as a stand alone and really like it. Reminds me of Easter morning when I'd pick all of the black beans out of it. Order arrived quickly and correct. My first order from BCF and won't be the last.

    Excellent single ingredient flavorant

Posted by dave on 27th Oct 2016

5-10% with no steep needed. A couple percent of Anise will brighten it up, but not necessary. A percent or two of FA Black Touch/Licorice will add some astringency and reduce the candyishness.

    Nails the taste

Beautiful flavor and delicious. I have had problems getting it to steep and not separate. If anyone has any advice let me know. I am still going to buy this and try to figure it out.

Black licorice, simple enough. If it's a flavor you like you will enjoy this one.

Better than eating the Jelly Beans!!

Posted by Phil Tuten on 9th Jul 2014

If like me, your favorite jelly beans are the black ones.. This flavor has absolutely nailed the taste. My taste buds and mouth get so confused with this, my mouth thinks it should be chewing those wonderful beans! I get the great rich taste of black licorice. Love this flavor at 10% with no steep time.
